<div style="padding-left: 30px"><div style="padding-left: 30px">Shoah, ra mắt năm 1985 là bộ phim tài liệu dài 9 giờ kể về nạn tàn sát người Do Thái của Đức quốc xã trong Thế chiến thứ hai, với những cuộc phỏng vấn với các nạn nhân còn sống sót. Phim cũng được công chiếu lần đầu tại Liên hoan phim Berlin. Lanzmann cho biết, trong 12 năm làm phim đó, ông luôn tin vào một điều: “Tôi biết Shoah là cơ hội giúp người Đức được giải thoát khỏi nỗi đau chiến tranh, và cho phép họ được đối mặt với những mất mát một cách thẳng thắn.”
